Examples may include musculoskeletal disease, cardiac disease, reproductive issues,<br \/>\niron storage disease and hepatic lipidosis.<br \/>\nMaintenance Diet is veterinary formulated to fulfill all of your birds core nutritional<br \/>\nrequirements in an easy to feed formula.<br \/>\nRecommended as a balanced diet to maintain healthy weight without excess fat deposition.<br \/>\nThese pellets are extrusion cooked for optimum digestibility, palatability and food safety.<\/p>\n<h3>DIRECTIONS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintenance Diet should be fed as your bird\u2019s primary diet (80% of daily feed consumed).<\/li>\n<li>The remaining 20% of the diet should be made up of healthy fruit and vegetables (15%)<br \/>\nand a small amount of treat foods such as nuts and seeds (5%), to provide variety and<br \/>\nenrichment in their diet. Fresh water should be available at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Daily Pellet Recommendation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vetafarm recommends that parrots are fed a minimum of 10% of their bodyweight in pellets<br \/>\nper day.<\/li>\n<li>90g Cockatiel (or similar): provide a minimum 9g of Maintenance Diet per day.<\/li>\n<li>150g Sun conure (or similar): provide a minimum 15g of Maintenance Diet per day.<\/li>\n<li>300g Galah (or similar): provide a minimum of 30g of Maintenance Diet per day.<\/li>\n<li>These feeding recommendations should be used as a guide only. Be sure to check with your<br \/>\nveterinarian for more specific information if your bird has special dietary needs due to a health<br \/>\ncondition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Storage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Store in an airtight container out of direct sunlight and below 30\u00b0C.
